I know we are all disappointed by the USCe loss, but nearly every other team in a major conference has one of those losses:
Ohio St - Penn St
Michigan - Iowa
Clemson - Pitt
Washington - USC
Penn St - Pitt
Oklahoma - Houston
Ok St - Central Michigan
Louisville - Houston
USC - Stanford
Auburn - Georgia
FSU - UNC
Florida - Arkansas
Nebraska - (could be) Iowa
Boise St - Wyoming
Houston - SMU
Utah - Oregon and Cal
Washington St - Eastern Washington
Navy - USF
A really strange year in CFB. Vols beat Vandy and go to the Sugar Bowl, it is the second best season for any SEC team (based on final ranking) which is a pretty good place to be.
