Not getting in done in the classroom either - we are #100

While this board is mainly about sports with a heavy dose of football, some us do care a lot about the academic side of the University - at least I do. In a recent study published here in Jacksonville, UT ranked 100 in top public universities. Michigan was number one :(.

I post this because I think there is a direct correlation in the chaos of our athletics department and the poor management of the University in general. Below is the ranking in the South - we are still number 30 even in our own region. Sad. Yes, there are some strengths (MBA top 22, accounting and supply chain departments top 10) but I firmly believe we are not moving forward in a big way until we get some leadership and better decision making. I am not and have not been a fan of the current President, who in my opinion is awol from most major decisions. He seems to manage from behind.

Here are Business First's 2018 rankings of public colleges in the South. Included are all schools that finished among the top 250 colleges in the overall national rankings.
