Tennessee received "good" news on redshirt-freshman utility man Jared Dickey following his MRI.
They were originally very fearful of Dickey's status for the remainder of the season following the game Sunday, but it turned out to be just a deep bone bruise as a result of rounding a base at Ole Miss. There's been some talk about the bases in Oxford being thicker than normal and hard as a rock, and that being what caused the issue.
Dickey will miss some time, but not near as much time as originally feared. It comes down to a pain tolerance and he could be available to pinch-hit/DH this weekend, but that seems very optimistic at this point.
