........my 24 yr old son Paul, a UNC grad (please forgive him.....sorry Griddie) and a 2nd yr med student at UNC SOM, was diagnosed with adult onset Pompe Disease a couple of years ago. Paul has always been athletic (he could have played college baseball.....he beat Alex Woods now of the Braves in the 2008 NC State 4A HS baseball championship which as a dad I would be happy to go into way more detail any time you would like
). Paul is in training to run a marathon on March 15th to raise awareness of Pompe Disease and to raise money for people with the disease. If anyone would like to make a contribution no matter how small, here is the link to his story and a way to contribute. Thanks!

If you do find it in your heart to contribute, put a message about being a Vol fan where you can leave a statement. Paul is a Vol fan of course, he was with me at the UT/Bama game this past season.
Even if you cannot contribute, if you could share his information on the youcaring site above (there is a share button) on Facebook or any social media it would greatly be appreciated.
