Debord is Butch. Butch is Debord. They are one and the same. Debord is running Butch's offense and as his best friend/mentor is not in a position to make real substantial changes or challenge the status quo. Nothing against Debord as a person but there is a reason he was not a major college coach in recent years before we hired him. We need someone who can run a more effective spread attack when Debord's contract is up this year. And let Butch focus on his sales/recruiting skills where he has the most talent and let the new OC better run the offensive gameplan. Take a look at the top 25 offenses in the link above. Find an OC running a spread attack at a Power 5 (or close) school that is not a tier-1 brand name and would be just as cheap if not cheaper than Debord (and perhaps could even add to recruiting and not simply be an extension of Butch; that in my mind shows Butch accepts the fact that changes need to be made and is willing to adapt and not be so stubborn/rigid).

How about Toledo in the top 10 with big yards per play? http://utrockets.com/coaches.aspx?rc=195&path=football OC & QB coach, two birds with one stone, and unleash JG? Zero due dili there but we should be exploring all options.
