For the last 10 seasons, I’ve done an SEC pick’em group with bunch of friends. We predict all 12 games for all 14 SEC teams before the first game of the year is played. Last year, there were 100+ of us. We use a weighted scoring system rather than straight W/L, so you get more points for correctly predicting, for example, the Alabama/LSU game than the Tennessee/Ohio game.
This year, I’m wondering if there would be enough interest to do a VQ-only version of it as well.
Today is August 1, which means you can put as much or as little time into it as you wish. Last year’s winner in our group filled out his picks in about 5 minutes. Other years, the winner is someone who put in a lot of analysis. Either way can work.
