I have never seen a team have OL get absolutely ran over as often as ours do. This was on the second play of the game.
Why does this happen to us so much? I have seen Tennessee have bad OLs (2008 comes to mind) and miss assignments or get beat by quickness, but it seems our current OL just gets pulverized by power. We may struggle with the speed rush at the tackle position, but our interior guys just seem to get dropped like this constantly, regardless of opponent.
Why does this happen? Is it strength? Technique? Scheme? Does this happen regularly across the country and I am just now noticing it?
