He tells me he's talked to Tennessee assistant coaches throughout the day and has indicated to them that, after they offered tonight, he wants on board. He says he's committed and tentatively plans to be in Knoxville this weekend for an official visit.
He hasn't talked to Butch and at this point I don't think that will be a hang up, but not ready to go all in and say this is an official commitment right now but it looks well on its way to being that.
Crazy story. He played quarterback before this season and moved to tight end.
His coach sent out his tape this morning and he's already received a lot of interest according to him.
So, we will be checking on this one early in the AM, but that's where things stand tonight. Obviously, this could change once they get into meetings and things like that, but here's where we stand late into the night.
