pat won titles when she had THE best player.....we won when we had gordon, holdsclaw and parker.....said it before but you take away the parker years what we are seeing from the lady vols is the same thing we saw over pats last decade as well.....next year we might have THE best player and that seems to be what it takes for this program to be at that level.....we have lived and died for years on missed shots and getting offensive rebounds.....nothing has changed......one thing i have taken note of in the past decade is the incredible dropoff in lady vols who make it in the nba.....we had a bunch of recruiting misses in the the past ten years especially in the post and that was before pat got sick as well.....i dont know where the problem lies in the system but this program is basically being run the same way it was.....the lady vols were hard to watch at times when pat was here too sans candace parker after holdsclaw and catchings left.....we have been good to very good but we simply have to have the single best player to compete for titles.....lets hope that she sat out this season....
