Is that people start saving for rainy days and don’t live so damn close to the edge that 15 days can totally wreck their lives/finances.
I understand the stress if you’re in that 22-30 year old spot or if you’re just PO, as my grandpa used to say.
But man, I’m hearing panic from people who live in nice homes and put up the “front” that they are doing good.
People need to get back to the basics and pay yourself first. 10% of that check needs to go into savings minimum. Let’s drive an Accord instead of that Gas Guzzling SUV/Truck. Maybe little Timmy and Janie need to go to Grassland Elementary instead of Brentwood Academy or Farragut instead of CAK next fall.
I hope there is a lesson in all of this.....don’t stretch yourself to the point where a small disruption in the status quo kills you.
