It's always interesting to see fans' over-reactions the first week and month of the season. If we had been Ohio State fans last year, after they got waxed by VT, we'd have been very confident we wouldnt even get to ten wins in a joke of a conference, much less win the national championship. Did you see their offensive line in that game? It was offensive.

It's just silly to jump to conclusions about any team based upon just one early game. We have good coaches, and I'm sure they're on top of what to do better than we are.

Do we have some concerns? Yes. But we should've known this going in.

On our big two studs at DT, it was crazy for anyone to think they're going to come in and dominate as true feshmen in their first game. I was not at all surprised to see them deeper in the rotation. What Barnett did last year is not normal. Plus, he was a DE, not a DT. While I think it's reasonable that Tuttle and McKenzie can meaningfully contribute by the end of year, it's cray to think that they'll dominate as true freshmen at perhaps the most difficult position to do so, based purely on the physical and technique development that's required.

Weve got 11 more games in the regular season to see how this thing plays out. Let's see what happens. I beliege our coaches will make adjustments. However, we've still got 7 games that are losable. The good news is that at least six of those are winnable.

I believe Oklahmoa is under rated. So I'm not going to throw in the towel on the season if we lose. Hopefully we win.

Go Vols!!! The future is bright!!
