(Just changed my screen name from @MotorCoachMan, FTR)
Back in October, the local utility company replaced a utility pole in my back yard. Their only access was my driveway and they busted/cracked the full length of the slabs with the weight of the trucks.
They have agreed, finally (with the assistance of a law firm), to rip out the driveway and replace it with 6" of fiber-reinforced concrete. They have agreed that the sections that future trucks will need access to should be "extra" reinforced to prevent this from ever reoccurring.
The soil underneath is clay.
Any suggestions on what questions I should ask the contractor up front and what I should be looking closely for to ensure I'm not getting a "cheap replacement"?
Thanks in advance.
