Reading the Microsoft internal memo about it, my mind started drifting to thinking about whether their ultimate goal might be to eventually cause a significant shift away from employees having a singular employee/employer relationship (which would probably be a really good thing for some folks, while rendering other people's employment expendable, as disruptions often do).
