OT: are many of shows on Netflix, Hulu, prime in 4K??

are many of the shows on Netflix, Hulu, prime etc in 4K?? is the picture that much better?? have a LG tv that is about 8 years old really good picture — wondering if upgrading to a 4K is worth it — if so what would you recommend in a 55 inch screen?? thanks!!
