I'm 32. Played ball in college. Love being active, enjoy eating well. I have some space issues in my lower back. Tried PT and it would alleviate the symptoms for 3 months or so but then they would return. Tried chiropractic for about 25 visits with very mild improvements.
Its at L4, L5, and S1.
I am not miserable. I can walk and do machine style lifting. But I am probably 60-70% of what I was... If I had to do manual labor, I would be up the creek.
Can back surgery improve my spacing problem that creating the bulging discs? I have 4 friends who have had very similar issues and live very similar lifestyles to me and they are all advocates for surgery.
I live in Johnson City. Any recommendations?
