Reaching out to those who have or have had a Bernese Mountain Dog. My wife and I have the opportunity to bring a male into our family. We already have an 11 year old femaile Shih Tzu. I've read so many good things and so many bad things.
Would like to hear from you all on what the challenges are of owning a BMD and what the positives are. Did the breed change your life in a good way? How active is the breed? How much do they shed, How often do you groom? Are they good watch dogs? Good with other dogs and children?
