My wife has been having women issues the past few years. We had a cancer scare a year ago with these issues. She went in because of bleeding issues and had lots of tests and blood work done. They did an ultrasound and found numerous large cysts on her ovaries and such and did a biopsy. The Dr told her it may or may not be cancer. Bring on the panic…..Well the results came back and she wasn’t even called by the dr, she had to look on her online file to see,it wasn’t cancer! Thank god!!! The dr called a week after the results came back and finally let her know it wasn’t cancer and we will see you at your next appt in 6-12 months. They told her it was stress related. That’s a crazy enough experience in itself. How can you tell someone they may or may not have cancer? Then let them have access to their results a week before you call them to discuss? Then say, well it’s stress see you in a year. Time for a new Dr. Very scary time for the family.

Fast forward a year to yesterday. My wife finally found another Dr to see her and explained all of this to new Dr. They gave her a pregnancy test and it came back positive, then to make sure they gave her another one and it was instant positive as well. She called me yesterday to break the news and I was blown away. It wasn’t planned or possible(in both our eyes). I have also never been in this situation, so to say I was freaked out yet excited at the same time is an understatement. I’m 42 and do not have any children. They tell her to come back in same day to have an internal ultrasound done and I go with. While performing the ultrasound the nurse says, I don’t see anything so you have either miscarried or are having a miscarriage. So now I’m beyond heartbroken, and can only imagine how she is feeling. She finishes up and the Dr comes back in to talk to us. She explains her 2 pregnancy tests were definitely positive and she is either miscarrying or to early in the process. They are gonna draw blood to test her hormone levels and set up another internal ultrasound for the next week. She just got a call back from the Dr who told her after the blood test results, she WASNT PREGNANT at all!! Wtf!!! We went from being scared/ecstatic, to heartbroken/sad, then told she wasn’t pregnant at all!!! The dr told her she called around to other specialists and asked about false positives……….you know what bullshit answer we were given??????? Covid 19 and verbatim she says “I don’t have any science to back that up, but we are gonna find out what’s going on”. Wtf? I had the best/worst day of my life yesterday, not to mention what my wife was going through. Only to be told, ooooops, you weren’t pregnant and no chance you were. I’m so mad right now. Am I wrong? Plus give it the ole Covid excuse?
