A while back, some of you may recall that I posted about my Uncle Steve, who desperately needs a heart transplant. (Uncle Steve's official NFT fundraising page can be found here.) Accordingly, for the past several months we’ve been hosting various charity events to raise money for his transplant and medical bills.
For those of you in Knoxville, I'd like to invite you out to Brixx West Hills (located near West Town Mall), as they have generously offered us the use of their facilities to host a charity silent auction on behalf of Uncle Steve this coming Saturday the 25th, beginning at 5pm. If you're the sort of person who enjoys pizza and/or good craft beer, I hope you'll consider attending.
We'll be auctioning off a variety of themed gift baskets, featuring (among other things) barbecue/grilling accessories, wines and gourmet chocolates, tools, and so forth. I've personally put together an enormous craft beer crate featuring a host of exceptional adult beverages (e.g., Southern Tier Creme Brulee Stout, Founders Mango Magnifico, Sierra Nevada Hoptimum, and more) and glassware. (@gifTalk is also employing his woodworking skills to put together some classy six-pack caddies.)
We're also auctioning away a couple of specialty items, including a football signed by Butch Jones and a New Belgium Fat Tire bicycle. Finally, we'll also be handing out door prizes (while supplies last) and holding other prize drawings, including one for a raffle wherein we'll be giving away this beautiful quilt that was handmade by my grandmother:
