In the thread on Buck-ee’s about a week ago, I speculated that they will run the mom-and-pop convenience store/gas stations out of business. They are, along with some other forces.

The bottom line: Though mom and pop shops still dominate, big box stores have muscled into the game. If they can afford to use gas as a loss leader, little guys are forced to lower their prices or face going out of business entirely.
