totally off topic, but figured that since theres more Southerners who have been in Scouts, it might be easier to ask this board.
My son just joined Scouts, 1st grade, as a Tiger Cub. Anyone ever been a Leader for one of these crews? How many times a week or month did you meet? All these kids have football, soccer, religious classes - and I read in the literature that the program suggested basically meeting once a week??? I was thinking - no way most of these parents will want to commit to that kind of frequency.
Any insights are appreciated.
