My daughter is watching "Dancing with the Stars". I have literally never watched the show. They are doing some dances focused on different decades, and the first dancers were doing a dance from the '60s with a "prom theme". The couple had an apparently black young lady and a white male dancer.
So, they bring in an older person who they ask about the 60's. She says to the dancers, "Well, first of all, the two of you wouldn't even be talking about going to the dance together."
The young lady says, "Would he be dead or something?". Maybe I misunderstood the situation, but I don't think it ever even occurred to her that race could have been an issue.
To me, if I understood what happened correctly, that is awesome. A point where racial divides aren't even noticed or recognized is a great thing to see.
