Before I proffer today's suggestion/selection, I want to say thanks for the follow-up recommendations some of you folks made in your responses to the "Day 1" thread... and to @soddydaisy777, well, I have had season tickets through the Jones years... *and* I was there on that fateful November day when we lost to Wyoming. WYOMING. So, yeah, I know a thing or two about horror.
Anyway, anyone who watches yesterday's choice [MARTYRS, just fyi] is in for a fairly unforgiving viewing experience... maybe not A SERBIAN FILM or SALO grueling, but still. So, it's time to change gears a bit. For your viewing pleasure, allow me to recommend TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL. Here's the trailer:
Obviously, this movie errs on the side of tongue-in-cheek humor, but don't let that fool you; it doesn't shy away from some gore [for you gorehounds out there]. While it's almost always played for comedic effect, it's still there, a la EVIL DEAD 2. So, if you're looking for something a good deal less bleak than yesterday's suggestion, look no further than this little jewel.
For those of you who like this one, you may also like BEHIND THE MASK: THE RISE OF LESLIE VERNON. Just FYI. Happy viewing!
