Looking for some input from those that are outdoors inclined. I have kayaked Fontana lake on several day trips and done an overnight to Eagle Creek via kayak and stayed at campsite 90. I'm officially an owner of a beautiful Mohawk Royalex canoe and am itching to get it on the water. My question: there are several other backcountry campsites around Fontana (Hazel Creek, Campsite 78 on the island, etc.) It's difficult to find information on some of these sites. Does anyone have recommendations for a good camping site on Fontana that will allow for a full day's paddle saturday, an overnight, and then the trip back sunday? Looking for privacy and a great view.
