He seems to cast aspersions on Jefferson's character. Jefferson seems to be something of a two faced, back biting individual who is a spendthrift, worldly to a fault, and a womanizer. Early in his life, he seemingly was wooing Adam's wife in his correspondence to her.
For those that have read biographies on Jefferson, is this consistent with what you have read?
