I'm prone to salivary gland stones and developed one today. This is the first I've gotten since a sialogram a few years ago. I generally use heat to try to break it up and a combination of sour candy and gently massaging the area to try to dislodge it. Are there any better options? And any ways to prevent them short of having the gland removed?
