I remember speaking about this with some of y'all last summer who said to hit you up around tax season this year to get clarity on how to file as a married man. Hope you guys see this and chime in.
Question: Why in the hell am is TurboTax telling my wife that now that she's married, she has to pay additional tax (approx $5k), when if she filed single, she'd get a $3k refund?
We're obviously gonna hire an accountant for our taxes this year, but what in the hell is going on CPAs? This ain't right. Makes no sense.
Why can't we file separately and have our incomes respectively taxed at the rate they would if we were single and not take advantage of the deductions for married people? Or can we?
