OT: How are ads getting ahold of my texts?

In the past 48 hours, my wife has texted me about picking up cereal and boom I see an ad for that cereal (didn't search for it on any internet search) and a buddy sent me a text about a golf cart cover with same thing happening?

Some strange ish.
