Slow night and just finished "Catching Hell", the ESPN documentary about ol' Steve Bartman and the infamous 2003 Game 6 at Wrigley. I can't help but wonder how that whole scene and subsequent history would have unfolded differently if happened to anyone else. He was such an easy target and just sat there and let people abuse the sh*t out of him until they had to escort him out for his own well being. Obviously impossible to say how I'd have responded and I'm sure it was an intense scene, but damn....gotta stand up for yourself at least a little bit. Poor dude's life got turned upside down.
