Have two heat pumps: one for upper level, one for lower level. Current system is 19 years old. HVAC tech inspected, says inside coil on one of the systems has a bad leak, suggests replacing the entire systems (both units, though he is basing replacing the second one on age & its history of repairs). 2,000sf house (basically 1000sf/level). Offering entry-level Bryant 2-ton, 15-SEER system (two heat pumps, two air handlers) for $7200 installed, tax & all. Is this a good deal? I think the tech is honest, but I don't know enough about HVAC to know for sure.
