I have a friend who's hit a rough patch both personally, and in his career. After a lot of self- study and reflection, he wants to switch careers to pursue an IT career, ie - corporate computer/tech support. I have offered to help him out, cover him and get him started. He has an undergrad degree and is 31.

Question - what type of program would you suggest he look into to get either his degree, certificate, or accreditations to get started? Does a simple ITT type program work, or is that not realistic? Is it gonna take a literal degree from a private/state university? Thanks in advance for any, all advice.
