I hate to post a non-basketball post during this week, but since we are celebrating a solid win today, I'll keep the good vibes going.
My wife had a CT scan earlier this week and her investigational treatment for the lung cancer appears to be working (she had 2 cycles when the scan was done, but has now had 3 cycles). She had several positive lymph nodes in the thoracic and abdominal areas and all of those nodes are normalized. We have been draining pleural fluid for a few months now from a massive effusion she had and that drainage has diminshed a lot over the past few weeks. The largest primary tumor in her lung was 40X28mm and is now 32X24mm, so, some definite signs of improvement! All of her skeletal lesions are stable. She had a brain MRI today and the radiation oncologist told us that the scan looked very good.
So, we are celebrating this good news to go along with the Vols victory today. Now, if I can just get a Lipscomb victory over UNC tomorrow, things would be perfect! Haha!
