In a few weeks my wife and I are flying into Vegas, spending the night, then driving up the Extraterrestrial Highway to Yosemite. We will probably drive out near Area 51 for a few photos before moving on to Yosemite. Two questions, has anyone ever been near an Area 51 gate without getting arrested? Where is the best place to stay in Yosemite, and what would you recommend seeing?
We'll only be in Yosemite for a day and a half, them driving down to the Bay area to spend the rest of the week with our daughter and son in law.
