Not really anything like the old series. This one is far more serious in tone. It's PG rated, so aimed more towards the 12-17 crowd, but I think it's an enjoyable series, watched all 10 episodes within a week. The storyline is somewhat predictable, but there's a lot of adventure. I would have liked more science and less drama, but I see the demographic they are aiming for. There are 2 actors who need acting school. The little kid that plays Will, and the Villain Smith. The acting of the latter was particularly not good at all, IMO. She also says and does things that don't make much sense. I think overall this one is worth watching, nice cliffhanger at the end too.
