OT : Recommendations - Safe Areas for Lodging in STL & OMA

[Desperado Vol 48]

Will be traveling thru STL & OMA as part of a Road Trip and will overnight in STL & OMA. Any insight or recommendations on safe areas of these cities to look for accomodations ? Primarily use Hilton Group locations when possible, IHG hotels as well. TIA for any recommendations or suggestions you may have.
