OT: Smoking Pork Loin and have a question

This may be a stupid question so forgive me in advance if it is. Im going to smoke a 8lb whole pork loin this weekend but I need to cut it half prior to smoking. I'll smoke both halves at the same time so should I treat it like I'm smoking 4lb or 8lb? I'm talking about time wise. I'm doing a wood smoke for the first time. I took the easy way out with an electric smoker but have bought a cheap wood smoker to give it a try. I realize you get what you pay for but that's why I bought a pork loin (plus it was on sale) to try first. Going to use pecan wood. I usually smoke to an internal temp but just curious if I should plan on it taking 8lb or 4lb worth of time. I know that sounds like a stupid question but with me doing a wood smoke for the first time I'm trying to cover any variables. Thanks for any help.
