From my first experience at age 7 watching the Sugar Bowl vs Miami to the winning decade of the 90's this long drought of not winning at a championship competing level is something I thought was impossible. I remember thinking as a kid that we'd never lose to Vandy then we did. I recall thinking during Dooley's last year that if we ever get back to winning I would enjoy it more than before because the 1990's were more of an exception than I had realized. Not trying to upstage Hubbs' article, but as a fanbase that's seen its share of losses it is going to be fun expecting to win again.
