He's had tremendous offensive success everywhere he's been--Houston, Baylor (pre-scandal days), now Tulsa. He was RGIII's QB coach (and Bryce Petty's, now I think of it) and a big part of the success Briles had at both Houston and Baylor. This year's Tulsa team averaged over 500 yards per game and finished 4th in the NCAA in total offense. He's familiar with the spread, obviously, and I'd love to see what he could do with someone like JG or QD. Could be a slam dunk.
