shoop was hired as a more aggressive defensive play caller. Butch felt this team was very close to winning big. Didn't want to risk losing in a front heavy schedule due to busts happening in a new system. Convinces Shoop to run a modified version of last year's defense for continuity sake. The results have been bad. I really expect this defense to look a lot different in 2017.
