BRAP I get what coaches mean when they say we are a player led team but ultimately there is ONE leader that all of the responsibility falls on.
My questions are since the payers basically did not like Lawson's style or method Will the players decide which assistants stay or go? Why was it just team 120 that voiced their concerns or that Butch finally listened too?
It concerns me that we let a S&C coach go because the Players didn't like him! The S&C coach spends more time with these kids than any other coach and he is not there to be their friend but to transform their minds and bodies for the rugged 12-15 game season.
All we heard last year and the year before was how strong the players had gotten and that prior to Lawson and Butch being here no one could squat 600 Lbs etc and now they have so many squatting 700 lbs.
To me as an outsider looking in I would be more concerned if the players all loved their S&C coach.
For me I think that one change started changing the dynamics and chemistry of this team. Some of the players thought they ran the asylum and I think we seen that come to fruition with Hurd. I think Butch can do some good things here but he needs to lead and not be led.
