The fact that Butch Jones has rebuilt our roster in three years is nothing short of a modern miracle. Compared to the vast majority of SEC schools, our roster and culture was a dumpster fire when he and his staff arrived. At a minimum, entering this year, we have the best roster in SEC East and perhaps the second best roster in SEC. That is strong.
Butch's recruiting cannot be called into question based on one kid. Johnny lost LeRoy Thompson.
Gameday is still the greatest outstanding issue with Butch.
While I do not think Azzani is the best WR coach, Butch showed us with the DC change that he is not afraid to change the staff. If Azzani does not perform this year, he may be next year's Jancek. Will it be a year too late? Maybe.
