last Update _- Well it’s over.. I called the owner who explained she was in jail and someone else was dog sitting .. Apparently the people got mad over the fleas and decided to chuck the pup out of car window ( witness reported these azzwholes ) and drove off.. The owner explained how much she loved her dog and missed HIM, couldn’t sleep etc. So I thought no way she sells her dog so I offered $100 and she took it;-)— I would have paid any amount but paid her price and now the amazing guy is living a life of luxury all curled up next to little girl who saved him. we could not bE HAPPIER how this turned out..
Oh I did let her know I heard her voice mall. She said Amanda was the one that used needles not her— just didn’t want folks thinking she didn’t respond to that question— I actually believe her;-)
I will share Archie’s story ( — old name was Jake -yuk) time to time because I have a feeling this silly thing has lots of adventures coming..

Update _ So last night while we slept at 1AM some girl called my phone but didn’t know they had ( butt dialed ). We hear her talking to someone , cussing etc And can tel not in right mind.. All of a sudden she start cussing bad and said “my needle bag is gone, Amanda must have stolen it” she then began crying like a baby all sad she had no needles in her gray zip case. She then must have decided to go back to her needle man because said call ‘ so and so ‘ ( can’t reveal dude name here)..
Anyway we get a text a few hOuRs later saying it’s her dog and that it jumped out of car window - she knew near location of where it happened ( means she knew When he jumped out of car and didn’t stop for it) .. she described it enough to make me think it’s very possible her dog. Its a very sad day in my house becasuE not only has owner may have been found , they are using drugs that require needles . It now makes perfect since why it had all those fleas and ticks, covered with motor oil and way under weight.( he has gained 3 -4 lbs since being here. ) The dog slept with my kid last night after begging to be removed from his kennel ( he climbed under covers and never moved until we woke him at 830..
To say family is Heart broken is understatement . I know it’s silly to think how Can people care so much so quIck but dog owners this will make sense >. I only loved 1 dog in my life but this one already had a special place in our hearts.... this all sucks all the way around right now.. We have fostered before and never ever got attached like this!
Would it make a difference if no drugs and was taken care of- you bet - but now I feel like I am dooming the dog to life of misery or early death.. MY HOPE IS SHE IS DIABETIC AND NEEDS NEEDLES FOR THAT. BUT DOUBT IT BASED ON VOICE MAIL AND HOW IT FLOWed..
My next attempt will be to purchase the dog- but at any rate I am afraid to give these people back this dog considering the shape and the way it was left on side of road.. Not once did they check the pound and only saw flyer while out doing some bad stuff in wee hours of morning ..
Any legal advice is appreciated —

when we stopped next to him at stop sign.. before my wife knew it my daughter opened her door to talk to it when all of a sudden this guy jumps in her lap.. the pic is few min after he jumped in.. he was a mess —flea / tick infested and had motor oil all over him — very skinny.. We immediately gave him food and water then a good flea/tick bath.. he is now sporting a Soresto flea/tick collar ( this thing works great and last long time).. Vet game him clean bill of health..
its been 5 days so far no one has claimed him.. — unsure if we get to adopt with already 3 cats and dog.. He is a puppy but not much bigger if at all.. Amazing , despite is bad start in life he is a very happy dude.. No name yet..
He got a new bed today , picked it and a new toy out.. now sporting an orange vest..
