Wanted to tell you...
I think an increasing % of lawyer-parents would not want their own children to become lawyers. The profession has changed [declined] quite a bit in the last couple decades and is much less desirable from a potential law student's perspective, IMO.
Much of the "behavior" that turns people off toward lawyers stems from a huge surplus of young lawyers without nearly enough quality positions to employ them all. Many, if not most, of them took on large amounts of debt to earn that law license and can be quite pissed to learn the reality of the situation. This can easily lead to an attitude of, "I've got to get mine one way or another, professionalism, collegiality, and many other former cornerstones be damned."
