At first I thought I had some brilliant point to make, but I don't really have one. I just wanted to show that for all the teams that come into the season with Top 25 expectations/Top 10 expectations, a decent portion fail. 18 of the top 25 are currently lower than their preseason ranking. A staggering 12 of 25 are not even ranked, including UT of course. So maybe not a brilliant point, but perhaps just another plea to maybe step back from the ledge occasionally and let some of the intense anger go. Coach Butch Jones will be here next year. Before the season I would have thought for sure that next year would be a step back, but honestly after all the injuries and with some hope for Guarantano or Dormady, I don't think that is a given. The losses at SC and at Vandy were brutal. No denying that. But I do have some degree of hope, and a record of 8-4 feeling this bad shows how far we have come in a few years.
So basically just another post where a bunch of people will come in here and call me a sunshine pumper, and 15 posts will follow about why we should be more upset than others, and why next year will be a total dumpster fire. Now I'm rambling. Go Vols.
