To play the far and away toughest schedule in the country and go 8-3 with razor tight losses for two of those games (both on the road SEC losses, one of which in double OT). and we have a game against Vandy inbetween us and a 9 win regular season and an opportunity at the Sugar Bowl.

All of this and we suffered the most insane injuries anyone can even recall.... and not just starters but our best players..... our NFL players..... Sutton, JRM, Hurd.... those were our sure fire draft picks... .and to lose guys at positions were were already thin at. Hard to imagine season ending events for DOB, McKenzie, Tuttle and Vickers losing time as well. And LB.... we suffered the loss of JRM, DK Jr., Sapp, McDowell and still had Austin Smith out from surgery. Just crazy

Our ability to improvise on the fly and completely transition the team's identity from what going to be a defensively oriented unit with run stuffing DTs, athletic edge players and play making LBs, complemented by an offense centered around ball control and pounding running game preseason... to what we are now.... a shoot out offense with no defense.... its likely we moved from an Urban Meyer Florida team to a mid 90s Houston shoot out team.... but amazingly still able to throw up Ws....
