This week, we've heard Pruitt harp at length about winning the turnover battle. Specifically, not turning the football over on offense. He has talked about how you cannot win games turning the football over and cites our record as proof. Catastrophic turnovers specifically have been an issue, leading to defensive points.

What gives me some pause is that he immediately goes on to state that JG will start and gives them the best chance to win. I'm starting to really scratch my head on this because those two things do not jive. It's a bit contradictory to say that you cannot win games turning it over, yet then say the guy who turns it over (often for immediate points) like crazy gives you the best chance to win. Especially, when you haven't seen enough of any of the other QB's to determine if they are more or less apt to turn it over.

What I can say I believe for certain is that Pruitt has taken a stance on turnovers this week and if #2 goes out and coughs it up a bunch on Saturday, I see no way you can then continue to trot him out there. How do you tell your team you can't win games turning it over but you continue to play the guy that does so??? If he does, I think he really risks losing a football team. FWIW, I think JG is probably by far the most polished QB we have. He has a very solid skillset and good experience. I truly hope he shows up and plays well. I am just not convinced he won't cost us football games again down the road because history has demonstrated over and over that is precisely what will happen.

@Brent_Hubbs @Austin_Price @Rob Lewis , I know you gents believe that this staff thinks JG is the guy who puts us in the best protections, plays and ultimately position to win. However, based on Pruitt's stance this week on the turnover margin, if JG's penchant for the costly mistake shows up again, how does Pruitt continue to put him under center?
