...to the fanbase. Have believed that from the very beginning. How many times has he been dismissive of the media? Personally, I have zero respect for most members the the msm, but continue to think sports columnists are in a different category. Members of the sports media can be an asset to a program. If they convey a positive image, that can do a lot to keep the fan base happy...or at least contented. pruitt has always seemed to regard the media as an 'inconvenience' he has to suffer. I have to wonder if he watched how Saban would treat media and wants to emulate that. Problem is, Saban has had a lot of success and is able to be dismissive of them. pruitt has none of that 'cache'.
He's an absolute hick who has no idea how to 'promote' his product...nor does he seem to care. On top of all that, watching his post-game remarks, here's this hick sitting there with a freaking mask! There's probably no one within 10' of him and he doesn't take off that stupid mask. It wasn't until someone off-camera apparently tells him it's okay, that he finally takes it off.
I'll say one thing for him...he's making $4 million a year! I'm not sure if that's a testament to his ability to sell himself to UT...or exhibit #1 of Phat Phil's stupidity in hiring him.
