Chaney is a Flip Phone in an iPhone era. Part of the reason Pruitt will be given a chance to get out of this, IMO, is that he doesn't hire Chaney and pay him that much money without sign off by Fulmer.
The oddity to me is that Pruitt wanted Freeze, who is a spread guy. He interviewed Briles. He brought in Osovet for the RPO stuff. But then they put all their eggs in a traditional offense guy.
We can talk about some issues on defense and they are definitely there. Basically the slant is killing our defense. That said, the offense is taking every last breath out of this program. And it goes back to hiring Chaney. If most of us are honest, we liked the hire at the time. We thought it was a huge coup, weakening UGA and strengthening us. It has turned out to be a massive error. Where we go from here I don't know. You can't just change offenses mid stream. But maybe someone else can call plays and come up with a gameplan.
