Had a chance to catch up with Tre briefly after his official visit.
First off, no commitment.
Loved the trip, lots of positive things to say about Rick Barnes, the direction of the program and the family feel he found in Knoxville. Really impressed with how the players interacted with the staff and vice versa, really liked the culture and found everything to be very genuine.
Was here with both parents.
Taking an official visit to Florida next weekend, May 1.
Would like to make a decision this summer, but not holding himself to a timetable.
Didn't want to call Tennessee his leader since it was his first visit but did say that the Vols had set the bar high and he could definitely see himself fitting in with the team and the program.
**One quick addendum, I had posted previously about a pre-existing relationship between Mann, his family and associate head coach Rob Lanier, his lead recruiter. The pre-existing relationship part, is accurate, but I misunderstood where it started. Mann didn't live in Austin when he was younger, as I misheard or misunderstood, the relationship actually began when Lanier was an assistant coach at Florida, which makes more sense. Mann and Lanier's son Emory, who is now a sophomore at Webb, played youth basketball together, which is how the families got to know one another.
