This start to SEC play is incredibly frustrating to me. In their 3 SEC series they have won the Friday night game twice and only have 3 total league wins to show for it - inexcusable. I don't care about the injuries or the draft stealing recruits, the pitching staff is not an SEC caliber staff. Every team in the SEC deals with the draft and injuries and yet many still develop their arms and bullpens better than Tennessee has for the past 7-8 years.
Quick little rant, but I am frustrated as I thought this team had some legit potential to compete if they had just 4 or 5 arms that were worth a dang. Warren has been good, not as good late. Soto might have something. But what else? Our starters all pitched well this past weekend but we don't have a setup man or a closer who can get an out?
I'm not here to point fingers but usually when the pitching is bad you go after either your pitching coach or your head coach. In our situation that is the same man.
