Maybe some of you other "old-timers" can remember this better than I, as I only saw this on TV. Seems like whenever Kentucky was playing at UT (prior to the Ernie and Bernie show), the nets would be extremely tight....as it seemed to take a full second for the ball to pass through the net on a made basket. The thought was to slow the Kentucky fast break on made baskets.
